Uintas Overnighter

My wife and I hiked in to Murdock Basin and camped out for a night to fish in the morning. We brought a 2-man raft to hit the lake with and we caught some colorful brookies that sure put up a good fight. It was so beautiful up there with the Indian Paintbrush flowers in full bloom and we had the place to ourselves. We were hoping to hook into some golden trout, but had no luck. We sure had a great adventure anyway!

Small Brookies

Sarah and I were itching to do some fishing so we decided to take an early afternoon adventure today to a small local stream that is close by where we live. We didn't have much luck on the stream itself, but managed to find a spot where a couple of beavers had made their home on the stream and made a really nice deep pool for the fish to hold up in. We caught a few small brookies there. All in all it was a fun outing with Sarah!!

Wyoming day trip

My sweet wife let me get out Saturday with my Dad and brother. We decided to take off early and try a new spot in Wyoming. We had a great time even though the spring weather was ice cold and it snowed most of the day. Here are a few of the days catch.

GoPro Experiment

My wife Sarah gave me a GoPro Hero 3 White Edition for Christmas this last year. I hadn't really tinkered with it much so I thought to take it with me on a February afternoon fishing outing on one of my favorite streams in Utah. This is what I came up with...

Early In The Morning

This last Saturday, Eric and I decided to embark on an early morning journey. We set off at 4:30 in the morning to head to Wyoming to fish. It was rough waking up but worth it!! We managed to stay awake on the drive up and back and enjoyed the scenery....and of course the fishing too!

Early morning sunrise over the Wyoming desert.

A panoramic view of the Windriver Range.

First Brown of the trip.

Eric landed a beautiful spawning Snake River Cutt!

Awesome fish!!

We couldn't keep the Whitey's off. They were fun to catch!!
